"THE Skirt"

A customer of mine brought me a children's clothing magazine called "chasing fireflies"......very cute clothes,,,,,,but extremely pricey.....anywho....i was looking thru it and found a few things i wanted to try and duplicate......so when i was down in west monroe a couple weeks ago,,,me and my bff, melanie decided to try a skirt from the magazine.......so we went to hobby lobby and found some material.....and made up the skirts.......i think they turned out really good.....the actual skirt is one piece with three rows of ruffles that curve up at the sides,,, and then there is another piece that ties on...and it is reversible......so there are many different ways to wear this skirt........it's great.....i'm going to make another one for the beach in june....but only in a cream color and then the tie on part something with red.......and by the way,,,this skirt retailed in the magazine for 168.00!

"W at the Motorcross Races"

So my little three yr old son is obsessed with motorcycles and has his own now......this whole obsession started a year ago this month.....when david took him to the races in jefferson,tx......it was then he decided at 2 that he wanted to race motorcycles,,,,lol............one of the past world champions, and a friend of my parents, told w that if he wanted a motorcycle then he had to learn to ride his bike without training wheels.........low and behold,, a few months after that,, w was riding his bike with no training wheels at age 2!......and got himself an electric motorcycle......but don't let the "electric" part fool u......the thing goes 15mph................................So this year when david took w to the motorcross races, he got to take his own motorcycle to ride around in the pit areas and show it to all his friends he met last year.........needless to say,,,most people were shocked to see a three year old kid riding a motorcycle.......lol.......he had a handful of different people ask to have their pic with him...lol.......
this year he came home with lots of goodies too........marty trippe gave him a racing jersey,, he met chuck son, european champion....and another racer,, whose name escapes me,, gave him a plaque he'd won!!......we still have a couple years before w can actually compete.....i think david said they have to be 5....but w loves riding.......

"Baby Bedding".......

So i finally finished my very first set of baby bedding.......and i'm very pleased with how it turned out.....the fabrics Amy(my customer) chose are gorgeous....here are some pics.....i wanted to take it all outside,,,but it's just to darn cold............i hope Emmie Claire sleeps well in new decorated bed when she gets here!!!

Remember these pics?....well, my sweet katie mae has outgrown her long sleeved, 18month pear outfit.....so i decided to "resell" it......for $20.00.....shirt and skirt........and i can get u the matching hat for a little more..........it's in perfect condition!!!

"Spring is Here!!"

Well i just uploaded some new pics of the kids and i'm waiting on dinner to finish cooking......so i thought i'd blog......my windows are open, it's raining again this week,,,and i love to hear the sound of my kids playing and laughing together,,mixed with the rumbling thunder.......so serene...... this morning when i got up and looked outside,,,after a night of rain,,,it just looked so "springy".....all the colors of the trees and flowers and grass were so intensified.......so pretty.....most of my azaleas are also bloomed.....so i tried to get some pics of the kids around them.......i do this every year,,,,,but this year,,,they just were not interested..........so i settled for a few random shots.............................in the sewing world of Cloud Dust i've been sewing my hands off~!~~.......order after orders keep piling in.......most of them are duplicates,,,things i've already posted on here......but i have a bag to do and a baby bedding set i'm sooo ready to finish!!!....i'm getting ready to get rid of my baby crib...but i'm not letting it go until i can get some pics of this bedding on it!...................it does feel weird knowing that the "crib" days are over though.......on one hand it is sad...but on the other is it sort of liberating......life is getting a tad easier......our next big feat will be potty training for the third time........after that,,,wow!....i'll be the mom that can take a book to the pool again!!! HA!......enough rambling......here's some random pics of the kiddos.....

"Heroes at the Park"

well,,i borrowed my sis in law's camera last week, loaded up warnock and katie mae and headed to the park for a picnic......we met jill and her kids, noah and anna-kate out there ........we had missed noah's birthday party the sat. before,,so we decided to meet up so warnock could give noah his birthday present.......when i found out he was having a "superman" party,,i couldn't resist making him a super hero cape......and of course i had to make one for my little man too!......the boys LOVED them.......and wore them the entire time we were there......warnock thinks that he has to jump off of stuff when he wears it..lol.......i got some great pics of all the kids....including, anna-kate wading in the pond after the ducks...LOL........she just walked right in, pointing and yelling at them...tooo cute.....anyway,,,here are a few of my fav from the day!

"Modeled and Unmodeled........"

Well, for now i have no camera......so i'm not able to take pics of all custom orders i'm doing.....which bothers me....but i just don't think the cell phone pics would even worth posting.....lol........but on the upside...i'm saving up for a new one....a much better one.......so maybe next month i can start up with some pics again.....my goal is to have it by emma grace's birthday in april....so i can get some cute party pics and then to have it for the beach in june!! and i've got some of the CUTEST ideas for a beach portrait dress!!!AH!!!..........
this past sat...katie mae got asked to do some modeling for "Pink and Blue Ave".......when we got up that morning...warnock dressed himself....which he does a lot since we usually don't have plans during the day........and the emma grace was half way ready for my neice's birthday party that was later that day.....she was dressed,,but no hair fixing had taken place yet....lol........and my sitter was too late,,,so i had to take all three with me to do katie mae's pics......they were fine,,, not melt downs....thank u LORD!!!.......and the photographer got some great shots.....i've only seen these two so far....she posted them on facebook so i could see them......the one of them on the fence is just so "real"......i love it!!! and the cool part about it was that emma grace and warnock were already standing against the fence...and katie mae ran over to copy them......lol.......they did it all by themselves!........i can't wait to see the other pics .......the photographer is Janet Manuel....she's here in magnolia,,,and for u locals,,,she bought denise waterfield's studio..........so she's got a great location too!,,,,................
