"World Peace and Chicken Nuggets"

So i'm sure everyone can think of at least one phrase that they're parents said All the time.....like it's their "famous" saying or something,,,, for example.....when someone left the front door opened my dad would always say "what's wrong with u , were u raised in a barn?".........well,,,,my wonderful husband has a couple of his own when it comes to our kiddos.....when one of the kids complains about what we're having for dinner, david always says, "u know, there's a lot of kids that don't have anything to eat for dinner tonight, and i know they would love to have ur food".......i keep waiting for the day that one of my kids says, "well give it to them"....lol......but that thankfully hasn't happend......lol........the other famous phrase david can always be counted on to say when the kids are fighting, or whining about not getting what they want,,,,"Well, i want world peace,, but we can't always get what we want,".........okay, with all this being said,,, david and emma grace were in the drive thru at mcdonalds last night,,,,,and david ordered a 10 piece chicken nugget meal,,,,,,,as they were driving around the the building,, eg started asking "Dad, why didn't u get a world piece?..... u always say u want a "world peace".....but u always order that 10 piece...why?"..................all i can do is smile even as i type this.......my sweet little emma grace......kids bring so much to our lives......i can't imagine my life without them!

"Kids"

So i've been slacking on my blog.....sorry guys.......i'm finding it hard to make the extra time to get on here! things have been really busy around here........besides keeping up with Cloud Dust,, i teach dance three days a week...and now i've committed to leading a small group at our church, The Church at Waterbrook..... it's actually a sewing group... i titled it "sewing into the kingdom".......i'm teaching around twenty ladies to sew, every monday night....and during our three month class we'll be making baby blankets to donate to the hannah house, a pro life preg crisis center, and also be taking some up to the local hospital for new mothers...as a gift from our church....we are all very excited to be able to give back to our community......we had our first meeting this week...and it was great.................i also got a few hats in i ordered for my girls, i ordered them from "Emma Rose Boutique"....she has a myspace page,, that's where i found her,,,one of the hats is red with a white ribbon thru it,,, i got it because it goes so well with the valentine's shirt/dress i did this year......,,,,anyway,,, here are a few new pics of the kiddos.........o...and i was thinking yesterday that i needed to start writing down all of warnock's quotes....he's hilarious.....the things he does and says......for example.....we were watching the presidential inaguration on tues.....and he asked me like six different times,,,, "Is Barack Obama that guy with the big head from the star wars movie?".......where he gets all this stuff i don't know.. but it def gets a laugh out of me~!......

"Diaper Bags"

here's a couple of diaper bags i did this week......the first is a custom bag....the customer wanted a sail boat to match the baby's nursery.....the little boy's name is Karson.......i love how it turned out...the colors go so well together......
the second one is also a custom bag....the fabrics are the exact fabrics used in the baby's nursery....the little wet spot on the top of the bag is from the "no fray" stuff i put on the end of the ribbon....it dried clear.......

"Red. Black, and White"

Here is another outfit for 2009......again paired with the white stretchy, soft pettipants....this dress is a halter, tied with a ribbon...that i have since changed to a black satin ribbon instead of the white.....i matched up a black and white polka dot with a red flowered print....the center of the flowers is a turquoise color... i really like how this dress came out....the ruffle down the middle is my fav part i think......

"Nesting Dolls and Pettipants"

Here is another new outfit for 2009......again i paired it up with the white pettipants,, made out of a super soft stretchy knit......the dress is a black fabric covered in "Nesting Dolls"......i fell in love with this fabric the first time i saw it....i just thought i was so pretty i didn't even want to mix it with anything else....so i decided to do a halter dress.....the tie is the actual fabric...no ribbons or anything on this one.....and the bodice is also lined with the same fabric....check back on monday,,i'll post another one.....i've also got a diaper bag i'm working on this week too.......

"Mermaids and Sea Horses"

So i'm having a photoshoot for all the new cloud dust items,,,but had to move it feb 7th.......so i just can't wait that long to share some of the new stuff with u all......so i've decided to go ahead a post some new outfits,,,,one at a time.....so check back daily for more........
this one is the "mermaid" outfit.....i saw this fabric and instantly new i wanted it....the dress is a simple peasant top dress with a white cotton bodice and short sleeves out of an orange sea horse print......the skirt is a "kelp" stripe and has orange ruffles on the waist and around the bottom of the skirt......the mermaid piece is a sewn on apron flap......the pants are a super soft ruffled knit and can be worn as panteloones as here or as capris with a long top or as pants.....i'm so in love with this ruffled knit and will have more colors coming soon........check back on sat for another new outfit.........

"Hearts and Polka Dots"

I must admit,, it was REALLY nice to have a break over the holidays....i haven't had a sewing break in a while......but now it's time to go back to work....i've already gotten a handful of new orders on top of the ones i had left and all the new stuff for 2009....on the upside,, i'm very excited to get my first official order for some baby bedding.....i can't wait do it.....with everything else, it'll be the first of feb before i can get to it....but keep an eye out cause the customer has great taste and i can't wait to see what she's picked out for me to work with!......in the meantime,, here's a little shirt i did for v-day,, no complete outfit with so much going on,, but i could do some polka dot pants to match...this one is long sleeve and i've got another one to put on katie mae for pics that is short sleeve.......it's all cotton and the heart is out of felt....cute with jeans,, or can be made longer for a dress..........thanks for looking!
