"Chocolate Mocca"

Here is another little skirt and appliqued shirt outfit......they go together so fast,,and look so cute,,that i've been making a lot of them lately.....this one is one of my favorites....it's made out of a Alexander Henry fabric called, chocolate mocca...and it's not that easy to find anymore....i had to search high and low when i recently placed a new order for an outfit i will post next week.......
anyway,, here's a pic of my katie in the outfit.....she just started walking,, but i decided to use the chair to help her balance .....and to keep her from walking away too fast...lol......

"The Fair is Here"

This week the fair came to town......and the kids couldn't wait to go....we started the evening with the fair parade.... i walked in the parade next to the float for the dance studio i teach at, and emma grace and warnock rode on it.......then we went and ate at mc'd's before heading out to the fairgrounds..... first we walked thru and looked at all the crafts and animals.....and decided i will def be entering some things for the craft competitions next year......
then we walked over to the rides and the kids rode the carousel first....emma grace was dancing while riding her horse and warnock was holding on for dear life......he is def my more cautious child.....lol.....
then they rode the motorcycles......and warnock gained some confidence.....on their last ride of the night they had caught up with their cousins, ella, and isaiah.....and ella rode the tea cups with them............last they just had to do the fishing game...emma grace won a cute little penguin....and warnock got a squirt gun.....katie did great the whole time....she just rode around in her stroller all night....never crying or whining..... just as content as could be........

"Warnock Wednesdays"

Every wed. warnock, katie and i go to storytime at the library.....they sing songs, dance around, have puppet shows, use flannel boards, and all kinds of stuff......then they read some books and make a couple of crafts before leaving.........it has become the highlight of Warnock's week...and i love watching him get so excited about going and telling "Ms. Susan" about his new star wars movie and light saber sword......lol........he's more outgoing and interactive at the library then he's ever been anywhere else......he's the first to jump up and dance, sing, (with vibrato taught to him by his big sis, of course), and the first to answer any questions ms. susan might ask that day.....so, i decided to take my camera and snap a few pics for my blog..first i had to get a pic of warnock in front of the painted wall,,,it's on the side of the building,,,and he talks about the different pictures on it every week..............then we went inside, and this wed they looked at things that began with the letters, "I" and "J".... "I" is for inchworm ,, which they made.....and "J" is for jester......and ms. susan had a large puppet jester.....warnock loved it....but katie wasn't sure about it....lol.....
after we get done at story time i take the kids to mc'ds for a special lunch.....we have such a good time,,,,it's weird not having emma grace with us..i find myself missing her too....and i caught myself thinking about it just being me and katie in 3years.....there by ourselves.....wow.......if i could just hold on to these next three years a little harder...............anyways,,,,hope u enjoy a look into our "Warnock Wednesday"

Pears and Flowers .....for Kylie Beth.......

So, i couldn't resist using the rest of this fabric i had....after doing that diaper bag this week with it,,, i just wanted to use more purple.......
i used what was left to make a skirt and appliqued a shirt to match for Kylie Beth...and of course i had to make the hair bow to finish it off....Kylie is such a doll and i can't wait to get pics of her wearing it....and i will post them as soon as i can.......here u go, joana,, hope u like it!

one more post for sept 9th,,,man, what a day.....
i think this is my fav boy bag i've done in a long time....love the colors and the modern shapes....it's going to get monogrammed tomorrow...and then to the mail it will go.....congrats, maggie....

Pretty as a Picture

Here is a bag for "Isaish's Sister" children's boutique in texarkana...the owner is going to use it as a display and take custom orders for diaper bags at her store..i've emailed her pics of fabrics for the customers to choose from............i love these colors together,,,,,purple has always been one of my favs... but for some reason i'm not drawn to it when picking out fabric......but it was like this one was saying, "buy me"...lol......i matched it up with some pretty vintage, blue chenille and added a blue gingham to the inside.....i couldn't get the lighting in my house right so i took it outside and noticed these pretty purple flowers to set it next to....pretty as a picture....

Kitty Cats and Animal Print

So i've walked by this cat fabric at wal mart of all places several times.....and even picked it up several times.....but yesterday i decided to buy it....emma grace has been on me about making something new for her....and i wanted to do something a bit fun....so i couldn't resist......i matched it with the animal print and here it is......very fun and cute.....i even found the shoes for a ridiculous price.....and added some ribbon and a little glitter pen paint and she had a fit......she was so excited to wear it today.....i think i'm going to pair it with some leggings for cooler weather.....mabye even something crazy like really big red and white polka dots......i used so little fabric in making this, that i have enough left to make a matching set for katie mae....lol...she'll be so adorable walking around in this...lol..maybe i can even find her some little shoes too!
